The restaurant industry is one such business which is done with the idea of earning money by the supply of food.  The food is prepared and then served to the diners at a very reasonable price.  As the health of the customer is concerned, the restaurant has to take precautions to avoid legal problems.  A person who is planning to start a new restaurant has to follow the below-mentioned tips before the business.

Do’s:

1)     The restaurant owner has to individual licenses which are necessary when the legal aspect is considered.  The following licenses are must:-

a)    Food License:  As per law, the restaurant owner has to register under FSS Regulations 2011 (Licensing and Registration of Food Business).

e)    Approval from local police authorities: No objection certificate has to be obtained by local police authorities.  This will prevent frequent inspections and interruptions from the local police.

f)      Fire Security Certificate: No Objection Certificate from the fire department has to be obtained. Fire is most dangerous and can destroy everything if proper measures are not taken.  A fire extinguisher should be present in the restaurant. All the people- people preparing food, diners, and people in and around the restaurant are the worst affected in case of any fire accident.

g)     Liquor/Bar License: If the restaurant is planning to offer alcohol, only then this license is necessary. You can check out this link https://www.gourmetguide.co.uk/restaurants-near-me/sunday-roast-restaurants to get in-depth details.

9)     A clean bill has to be given to diner and no additional charges included in it.

10)In case the restaurant is multi-storied, there should be lift facility.

Don’ts:

1)     Don't indulge in any illegal activity in greed for some profit.

2)     Don’t serve unhealthy or stale food.

3)     Don’t encourage any argument with the diner.  Any wrong publicity will be your loss.

4)     Investing on costly items is necessary. But if you are not in a position to afford the same, please don't try it.  Spend money on only those items which are mandatory to run the business.

5)     In case liquor is served, serve it in the time limit allowed by the police department.  Anything done above the time limit will create legal problems.
