Five Books Every Entrepreneur Should Read

When looking to become an entrepreneur, it is all about information you have on the front end. By researching the path others have taken, you will be less likely to make some of the same mistakes and avoid some of the most common pitfalls. You will also be able to put together game plans that will be most effective and aren't going to cost you money. By getting more knowledge and researching on your own, you become a more effective, more successful entrepreneur. Here are some books on beginning a business that can help as you create fulfillment through your professional life.

Think and Grow Rich

This book, by the late Napoleon Hill, is one of the most critical pieces of literature entrepreneurs can learn from. It teaches principles of success and money from the inside out, so first and foremost, you can create a mental state that will attract money and success into your life. He also touches on how to acquire tools and resources to bring you closer to your dreams.

You Are a Badass at Making Money

Jen Sincero released this book as the sequel to her book "You Are a Badass". This book takes some principles of self-confidence and helps you move past the limiting beliefs that are preventing the manifestation of money in your life. All of the business tips in the world will not make a difference unless you have the right state of mind to earn and keep money. This book is an excellent step in that direction.

Relentless

This is a book by Tim S. Grover, a professional who trained high-caliber athletes such as Michael Jordan and Dwyane Wade. He breaks down the mental state that you must have to be relentless in your work. It shows life through the lens of legendary athletes who overcame all odds to excel.

The 48 Laws of Power

In this book, Robert Greene explains 48 laws which explain human behavior and why we relate to people in certain ways. This book is considered a manual that details basic laws of power that have been used throughout the course of history in many ways, both positively and negatively. It is an essential read for any entrepreneur looking to navigate and understand social situations whether it be conversations with customers, meetings with litigation lawyer, or even networking with new clients.

Jab, Jab, Right Hook

Gary Vaynerchuk explains in this book the importance of connecting with customers and how to beat the competition in your field by working with your strengths and using your advantages correctly. Many entrepreneurs go all out for the sale without actually attempting to foster a relationship, or figure out what the consumer actually needs. This could perhaps have some short-term value, if you are leaving money on the table by neglecting the most human aspect of business.

Use these books to get you started with great literature when you want to become successful at entrepreneurship. Any of them will have great advice and a nice starting point for burgeoning entrepreneurs.
