Go Green Go is the Winner of the Idea Cafe’s Entrepreneurial Spirit Grant

Go Green Go, a T-shirt business that promotes eco-friendly activities, is the winner of Idea Café’s Entrepreneurial Spirit 2009 Small Business Grant. With its original concept of promoting eco-awareness and social responsibility, Go Green Go has instantly grabbed the hearts of our regulars and stood out amongst hundreds of other nominated small business ideas. Congratulation! We wish you luck in all your future initiatives!

Having the chance to vote for their favorite business idea, Idea Café regulars made their choice and distinguished Go Green Go as the most brilliant business idea. Supported by 25 % of all votes, the company unequivocally made it to the top, followed by another exceptional business, Sobo, who got 19% of the votes.

In the coming days, we will be contacting Go Green Go to get their scoop on winning an Idea Cafe grant, and to arrange the awarding of the $1,000.00 cash grant.

As a rule, all Idea Cafe grant winners provide monthly reports on how their business is doing since receiving Idea Cafe's Grant. And this time we won’t make an exception. Go Green Go will pass on their business wisdom and a health dose of their entrepreneurial spirit to Idea Café regulars through monthly updates, posted on Idea Café’s blog. So, check back regularly to see how Go Green Go will leverage the cash infusion to build their business.

In the past, some other inspirational entrepreneurs have won Idea Café grant. The previous grant winner WOMbeat!, is well known for her insightful reports and useful tips. Leah Larson, not only won our grant but went on to win the $100,000.00 Wells Fargo's Someday Stories contest. Another grant winner Percy Marchand and his company, Marchand Ink, were featured in The London Times and New Orleans Magazine. In one of his updates for Idea Café, Percy commented: "Winning this grant propelled me into a spiral of success and accolades."
