How did you come up with the idea for your business?
As a parent and educator, I see that there is a need to teach our children strong good character traits to grow up with. In 2005 After piloting my program in an elementary school, it went on to win an award, quite an honor, A PROMISING PRACTICE. In 2007 we formed a 501©(3) not for profit organization and today we work tirelessly sharing the program and the characters with others in schools, communities and events.

What do you love most about running your own business?
Using my time for a valuable cause and for what I believe in, teaching children vital core values.

What makes your business unique?
Three things:
It teaches children and reminds adults about good character traits.

What are some of your top business-related accomplishments, or business lessons learned?

Education is one of the many things being cut back in this economy and without a strong foundation to build on, good character role modeling may be lost.

Why should the Idea Cafe regulars vote for you?
We share our program to communities, to schools, to families across America. Our mission is to teach children core values with fine motor skills, literacy, art projects, communication skills, positive role modeling and character strength building. The program provides support for early childhood education offering an effective academic and strong health, social and emotional program to help improve the education and life outcomes of children of all races, creeds and cultures….creating a lifetime of learning.
