Voting for deciding the finalists for the Tenth Idea Cafe Small Business Grant is in full swing. We have received a significant number of votes and the numbers are suggesting the finalists. But nothing is decided at this point. There is still time until November 1st for the overall picture to change.

We are thrilled to present the semi-finalists for the 10th Idea Café's $1,000.00 Small Business Grant. It was tough since there were so many super candidates. But now we've selected the cream of the crop from nearly one thousand exceptional applicants. 40 grant applicants impressed us with their creativity, business wisdom and the intent to leverage their business and personal talents to help others. Below you can learn more about our semi-finalists' businesses and ideas.

Here they are, the semi-finalists for the Ninth Idea Café's $1,000.00 Small Business Grant. It was tough since there were so many super candidates. But now we've selected the cream of the crop from over one thousand exceptional applicants. 40 Grant Applicants impressed us with their ingenuity, business acumen and their intent to leverage their business and personal talents to help others. If not – cast your vote to determine which of the semi-finalists will continue to the next stage of the grant campaign. Those five of the semi-finalists who receive the highest numbers of your votes will make it to the final round and eventually compete for the cash prize.

Idea Cafe's editorial team has selected the semi-finalists for the Seventh Idea Cafe Small Business Grant. The selection process took into consideration several factors: how viable or interesting the business idea was; how well the entrepreneur described her plans for the future; and what she was willing to give back to the local community. We are thankful to everyone who applied for the grant, because going through the descriptions of hundreds and hundreds of wonderful small businesses was an inspiring and somewhat humbling task. And here they are, the semi-finalists for the Entrepreneurial Spirit 2009 Grant.
