Ways to Protect Your Company From Cyber Attacks

It’s always about living forwards! With the change in digitalization, entrepreneurs are expected to think and evaluate each of their moves before they play it, much like a game of poker. Fortunately, with all the shiny new options available for businesses, the temptation is to latch on to the trendiest tech offerings. And the same goes for business training.

With the dawn of 2019, people are expected to turn their gaze to the promise of more intelligent, learner-centric business training solutions and cutting-edge technology to make their employees – the key drivers of their own development. The world craves for more; no matter how hard you try! Day in day out, humans are being asked to do more than ever. But do you really think that that’s the only thing driving change in the corporate training landscape? Probably not! Much like employers, even employees have realized the fact that they must get into an organization that incorporates a strong working culture; aligned with appropriate business strategies and goals.

Fortunately, we have the potential to come up with workplaces that’s more connected and demanding. Check out tools like microlearning and mixed reality that are meant to aid professionals to meet up new challenges like never before. Gen Y or Millennials who are technology natives have become the most significant labor force in a couple of years ago outnumbering baby boomers and Generation Xers. The tech-savvy geeks have proven to be the best when it comes to making the most of digital technology. But due to their shorter spans, this generation, in particular, are getting a pretty bad reputation lately. With the change in workforce regarding to traditional skills, brand culture, and management training. A significant shift is seen towards reaching this demographic; i.e. from offering short, real-time bits of information to employees (specially the interactive ones), gamified experiences and the list goes on.

Further below I would like to mention several factors that have contributed to the evolution of corporate training and the increasingly central role of learning within companies. If these trends ignored, you may have a lot to lose!

#1 Rise of eLearning

If you have known the history, then you will know how humble the beginnings were. Can you recall the computer-based training centers available across the globe and today eLearning has grown to a multi-billion dollar market? In fact, combining the corporate and academic eLearning market will surpass all the previous benchmarks. Several off-topics such as sexual harassment, inclusiveness, and diversity can be considered here. Increasingly sophisticated platforms have made even soft skills training a practical reality for this approach. Add to that the potential for significant cost savings, and it’s not difficult to predict the continued expansion of eLearning for years to come.

#2 Experiential learning

Several companies are found adopting a couple of ways of popular content platforms like Netflix and Spotify. With such a bunch of interesting shows or music, employees can access the “channel” or “playlist” of content especially the one which interests the most. Right from job-skills matching to historical learning or AI-based recommendations, such platforms can provide the most relevant content for each learner to a great extent.

According to LinkedIn Workplace Learning Report, it is revealed that the top challenging facing learning and development is due to the lack of available time when it comes to learning. There is no denying in the fact that employees are seen under time pressure day in day out, squeezing in training can be tricky at times. As a solution, look around for sources that takes a practical spin on training, as employees engage in a continuous cycle of do, learn, and reflect.

#3 Widen the skill gap

As I said before, technological development seems to have increased its pace. Employees have admitted the fact that they will need to become lifelong learners to remain competitive in today’s workspace. The skills that were required to succeed yesterday are not the same as those needed to succeed today or tomorrow. In addition to this, employers are facilitating the re-skilling and up-skilling of employees as a way to keep positions filled that might otherwise have remained vacant while Human Resources worked to recruit the necessary talent. ELearning and micro-learning techniques are the best ways through which employees can learn new skills, refine and update current ones.
