4 Ways to Refresh Your Blogging Efforts

If you’ve been riding the blogging bandwagon, then hopefully you’ve reaped some of the more obvious benefits.  Connecting with your audience and establishing yourself as a trusted authority within you industry is invaluable compared to the virtually free cost of your own content creation.

However, that old blogging trail may feel a little dusty as time goes on and your wheels struggle to turn.  Those that understand the power of engaging and share-worthy content know the necessity of not only stellar output, but something that is new and fresh.  Read on to discover 4 techniques that can refresh your blogging efforts today.

Add a Splash of Yourself
While your job is to provide killer content and pack some take-aways for your audience, following a strict posting formula is not necessary.  As long as your maintaining bullet points, lists and segregated subjects for easy reading, be willing to switch up your form and style once in a while.

One way to do this will be through the use of personal narrative.  Not only can you make your bogging efforts more interesting, but it will give your audience a little insight into you; greatening your chances of building an even closer bond.

Incorporate Some Hashtags
Chances are at the end of each post you pose a question back to your readers, enticing them to leave a comment below.  Go a different (fresher) route and instead ask them to continue the conversation with a relevant hashtag.

For, example if you posted an article titled How Teambuilding Saved My Business you could encourage readers to share their thoughts and ask questions with the hashtag #teambuilding.  A move like this will create buzz on multiple channels within the social media stream.

Host an Interview
Your bogging responsibly and goal is to serve as an authority within your industry.  People need to be able to trust and rely on your input and advice.  They also have the ability to admire your striving efforts to increase their education, and this can be achieved by hosting an interview.

Welcome new (and dare we say it, more experienced) authorities that can add new perspective onto your pages.  Audience members will appreciate the broader sense of education they’ll get off of your pages and with proper promotion, you can provide a win-win for your featured host.

Include Your Audience
Add an “ask me” tab on your website.  This way users can send you their thoughts, ideas and interests directly to you.  Not only will you be catering directly to your readers, but their sent submissions could simultaneously build your editorial calendar.

Blogging can easily become another monotonous task on your to-do list…but only if you allow it to be.  With a little effort to stay on trend and a commitment to engage your audience, simple tweaks like those mentioned here can give your blog the boost its been looking for.
