Integrated Marketing is More Important Than Ever for Modern Business

A company or business with a strong marketing arm will undoubtedly have an upper hand when venturing into new markets. However, it’s not just business looking to branch out that can benefit from integrated marketing. But what is it and what does it do? I spoke with marketing experts Avitus Group about integrated marketing and why it’s become so popular in today’s modern age and they gave me a couple of really interesting points to include in this article. Let’s take a look below.

What is it?

Integrated marketing in a nutshell is basically merging your business promotions with your social media campaigns to create a seamless and multi-dimensional way of marketing your business. For example, using television, radio and internet advertisements are a great way of getting your brand and business known but it can often be without personality. What social media and other forms of promotion do is make the business into a more personal and friendly persona. What else is important is that all of your marketing campaigns are related and integrated with each other so no matter what form of media you’re promoting on, the message stays the same, albeit it’s being delivered in different methods. So why is this important? Quite simply, it shows off the brand whilst using different methods but maintaining the same goals and the same business mentality.

How can you use it?

As said before, integrated marketing merges all your different marketing methods into one seamless brand output. So how can you use in your business? Well let’s say you run a successful business that makes and sells a range of clothes. You’ve put out adverts on radio and in the local paper, how can you get the word out in other forms whilst keeping the company personality the same? Well creating a twitter and Facebook account showing off your range of clothes whilst talking to customers and keeping them updated with the latest ranges and such is a good step towards a fully integrated marketing plan.

Is it good for your business?

The simple answer is YES. No matter what size the business, integrating all your marketing methods is vital to the success of your company. If you’re not sure about how to go about this form of marketing, there are many helpful books and articles online that can carefully explain each step towards integrated heaven!
