Your own business. How not to be trapped

So you decided to open your own business. There are some advices that can help on the first stage when you’re beginning your business.

1. Never hire your friends or people you know. I think everybody heard such a thing that “I’d like to hire my friends and together we’ll make a perfect team.” Many people who have implemented this position into the life were really disappointed. When you’re hiring your relatives of friends, your attention concentrates not on business tasks, but on the relationship between them. And in the end you can simply stay without your friend and without the employee.

2. Don’t mention what other says. Don’t be afraid to work in the sphere, which is really widespread. Don’t try to find the empty “niche” for your business, because the key to the business success doesn’t hinge on that. For instance, Starbucks wasn’t the first coffee-company, but now this brand and this name is wide-known and not only in America.

3. Free advertisement. Every company needs an advertisement. And of course, when your company only gains strength, you understand that every penny counts. So the majority of people simply recalls about Twitter, Facebook and others. Many experienced people say that that’s a wrong way. Sure, you’ll be able to save your money, but you’ll spend a lot of time. It takes not only a lot of time, but also a lot of power, so soon you’ll to get extremely tired. These social networks always have a lot of different information and people will doubtfully see your advertisement. In the end you’ll understand that your time costs more, than professional advertisement.

4. “Cool” your prices. Let we imagine your business began to work. And you need more clients. But what to do, when all that big companies everywhere, how to attach clients’ attention? Most people decide to make their goods or services cheaper in comparison with other companies. But that’ll be a mistake. Of course, it’ll attach your clients at first, but soon you’ll lose your money with the every new customer. The attachment of clients with low prices is the fastest way. But it’s fastest in all senses. First, you set low prices, then it becomes disadvantageous for you, you raise your prices and lose your clients. The better way to attach clients is to sure them that your product is better/healthier/more useful/tastier etc. And surely it must be the truth. Every serious and wide-spread company has a perfect reputation of their goods. So why must you be an exception?

5. Investments, not spending. Many business-beginners try to keep their expenses down.
All the bills make them skimp time and again. Sometimes it seems like it is better simply to have money for needs according to the bills. Of course, that’s a wrong way. Don’t try to spend your money only when the problem appears; don’t be afraid of investing in your business. Sometimes the strategy and the creative approach work much better than only money.

6. Think by your own. You can’t change or overlook some unpleasant or disturbing fact. People will always recommend you something. But don’t forget that this business is yours and you invest your money into it. If it’ll fail, it is better you are the causer. Because if it’ll be through their own fault, it’s be much more bitter for you. Some people learn from the mistakes of others, so I wish you not to make your own mistakes.
